All five senses will come alive and experience the best of the Caribbean as the celebration includes authentic arts and crafts, live music, and culinary delights from the beloved islands of the Caribbean.
Be there at 3 pm for the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with the Committee Chairman, Lauderhill Commissioner Howard Berger, and other elected officials. “The Ribbon Cutting is always so much fun. It includes the Presentation of Caribbean Colors and Representatives from all the Caribbean Islands. All the elected officials come out at this time too. Come see us, join us, party with us,” explains Commissioner Berger. Fun for the entire family includes kid’s games, contests, bounce houses, and youth artists to perform including the very talented Lauderhill Music School musicians. Meet and visit with the Consul Generals of several islands. Meet the Miss Jamaica Diaspora and Miss Jamaica Florida contestants as they show Lauderhill what it takes to represent their homeland.
